Ambulance Services Trial Communication Assets

The WA government has made temporary changes aimed at improving access to emergency ambulance services provided by St John WA for Aboriginal people in Western Australia from 1 January until 30 September 2025.

This trial follows concerns surrounding the cost of emergency ambulance services for Aboriginal people, which sometimes means they are less likely to call for the help they need when sick. The trial is for all Aboriginal people in WA, including those living in Perth and in regional and remote areas.

AHCWA have finalised communication assets for the extended ambulance trial, which can be downloaded and shared by clicking the link below.

In keeping with the planned evaluation processes by DOH, we have also designed a short survey to collect feedback from ACCHS and community members, which can hopefully assist in advocating for the changes to be extended. By answering the survey questions, you can have your say to the WA government on what you think about the changes and whether they should be extended.

The survey can be accessed via a QR code found on the communication assets or by clicking here.
