The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia in conjunction with Communicable Disease Control Directorate at the Department of Health provide the 10681NAT Course in Training for Aboriginal Health Workers and Aboriginal Health Practitioners
This nationally accredited immunisation course provides the Aboriginal Health Practitioner the knowledge and skills to promote and safely immunise clients across all ages.
Assessment for the immunisation course is carried out using a combination of the following:
• Attendance and participation in group discussions and activities
• Role plays
• Completion of an assessed workbooks.
• On the job assessment
• How the immune system works
• Vaccine preventable diseases
• Contents of vaccines
• Cold chain
• Administering vaccines.

How is the training conducted?
The course will be delivered over 3-4 days depending on the group size.
