Real Talk, No Shame
Solid Safe Connections, AHCWA’s sexual health and blood borne virus (SHBBV) program is designed to develop policies and effective strategies, including training and health promotion, with the aim of decreasing the incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBVs) in Aboriginal communities across Western Australia.
Real Talk, No Shame is a SHBBV training that focuses on empowering those who work with Aboriginal young people. The training increases knowledge, skills and confidence to yarn with young people in your community or service about SHBBV topics. The four modules include:
- Safer Sex (STIs and BBVs)
- Healthy relationships
- Consent, Alcohol and other Drugs
- Social media, pornography and sexting
There may be occasions that this training can be delivered directly to young people in your service. If you are interested in this, please contact sexualhealth@ahcwa.org.
