Immunisation

Immunisation Course Overview

Accredited Immunisation Course for Health Professionals

The Immunisation Course for Health Professionals is delivered face-to-face in small, supportive groups, led by two experienced and approachable trainers. Our classrooms provide a culturally safe learning environment, with a strong emphasis on individual guidance and encouragement throughout all practical skills activities—no matter your level of experience.

Participants complete the full five days of training in the classroom. This course is ideal for AHPRA registered health professionals able to add immunisation to their scope of practice and build confidence and competence across all aspects of vaccine administration. After completing the course, students continue to have access to course resources and receive ongoing support from both AHCWA and Benchmarque Group.

The course is accredited by the National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners (NAATSIHWP) and Health Education Services Australia (HESA).

Introducing AHCWA IMMfo Webinars

Short education sessions are available for ACCHS staff who are looking to grow their immunisation knowledge and confidence.

These sessions are ideal for staff who want to feel more confident giving vaccines, promoting immunisation, and having yarns with community about vaccination.

Topics will be guided by requests from staff, and guest speakers will be invited to join when needed to support specific areas of interest.

All sessions will be recorded and made available on the AHCWA website, so you can watch them anytime.

Let’s work together to build knowledge and continue improving vaccination uptake in our communities.
