We are excited to announce the winners for our 2026 Employee Awards. These awards recognise staff who consistently go above and beyond, demonstrating outstanding contributions that reflect our organisation’s values, mission, and purpose.
Gloria Khan Team Impact Award
The Gloria Khan Team Impact Award is dedicated to the late Mrs Gloria Khan, an Elder from Donnybrook in the South West of Western Australia. Gloria was a strong, proud Nyoongar woman who dedicated many years of service to Aboriginal health in WA and across Australia.
This award is in recognition of Gloria’s dedication and commitment to the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector, along with her kindness and compassion. Gloria worked tirelessly to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people both in WA and across Australia.
The Gloria Khan Team Impact Award recognises and rewards employees who make a significant contribution to the organisation and contribute to a positive workplace culture by demonstrating team spirit, collaboration, engagement
and positive working relationships with colleagues across the organisation, endeavouring to get the best out of those around them.
The 2026 Gloria Khan Team Impact Award recipient is Rachel Radcliffe.
Maxine Armstrong Leaders Award
The Maxine Armstrong Leaders Award is dedicated to the late Ms Maxine Armstrong, an Elder from Derby
in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Maxine had a lifelong dedication and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people. Maxine was a passionate leader and advocate for Aboriginal health, with her driving force to help her people.
This award is in recognition of Maxine’s leadership and commitment to the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector, and the resilience, passion, integrity, collaboration and accountability she upheld striving to achieve better health outcomes for her people.
The Maxine Armstrong Leaders Award recognises and rewards employees who lead by example and uphold the values of the organisation. These values underpin the organisation’s ethics and standards of conduct, shape our culture, provide guidance and information on our corporate governance and policy frameworks; and establish a benchmark for the expected behaviour of the organisation’s employees.
The 2026 Maxine Armstrong Leaders Award recipient is Veronica Walshe.
