AHCWA Celebrates Workforce Coordinator Joyal Shaju’s Five-Year Milestone

The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia is proud to celebrate Workforce Coordinator, Joyal Shaju, on reaching an impressive five-year milestone with the organisation on 10 June.

Joyal joined AHCWA in June 2021 as the NDIS Business Support Coordinator, where he coordinated initiatives to deliver culturally responsive disability services. In this role, he worked closely with ACCHS across Western Australia to develop sustainable NDIS business solutions, facilitating Sector engagement and capacity-building, supporting workforce development, and fostering strong partnerships with government agencies and key stakeholders. His work helped build the foundations for stronger, more sustainable disability service delivery across the Aboriginal community controlled health Sector.

In July 2024, Joyal became the Workforce Coordinator, playing a significant role in supporting statewide workforce development across the ACCHS Sector. As Workforce Coordinator, Joyal provides operational leadership, overseeing the delivery of workforce development programs, projects, training support initiatives, and sector engagement activities.

AHCWA’s Executive Manager – Corporate Services, Trina Pitt, congratulated Joyal on the important role he plays in progressing Sector-wide workforce priorities, including supporting the implementation and monitoring of the WA ACCHS Workforce Strategy.

“Five years is a significant milestone, and we are incredibly grateful for Joyal’s continued dedication to AHCWA. Joyal has consistently brought a collaborative spirit and deep commitment to his work. His efforts continue to shape a stronger, more sustainable Aboriginal health workforce across WA.”

Congratulations, Joyal, and thank you for your commitment and service. We look forward to your continued contributions to AHCWA and the WA ACCHS Sector.
