Celebrating Principal Policy and Strategy Manager Klaudia Shenton’s Five-Year Milestone at AHCWA

On 4 January this year, AHCWA’s Principal Policy and Strategy Manager, Klaudia Shenton, celebrated five years with
the organisation.

Over the past five years, Klaudia has made significant contributions to the organisation and the Sector. She was instrumental in the early establishment of CASWA, supporting the organisation through to its inaugural AGM, and working with the interim Board during its foundational phase. Commencing as a Policy Officer in 2021, Klaudia moved into the role of NDIS Advocacy and Engagement Officer on 2 March that year.

Later, on 6 September, Klaudia took on the role of Senior Policy Officer – Closing the Gap. Demonstrating strong leadership and commitment to the Sector, she was promoted to Project Manager – Closing the Gap on 2 March 2022. Her knowledge, advocacy, and support to the AHCWA Chairperson on the National Agreement to Close the Gap have been highly valued in ensuring AHCWA is well informed and that the Sector has a strong voice at all levels across government—and she isn’t shy of holding agencies to account.

On 24 April 2023, Klaudia was appointed Policy and Strategy Manager, with the role formally retitled to Principal Policy and Strategy Manager on 24 February 2025.

Reflecting on Klaudia’s tenure, Office of the CEO Executive Manager, Amanda Collins-Clinch said, “Klaudia has built close and respected relationships across the organisation, with Member Service CEOs and with AHCWA’s key partners and stakeholders. Her commitment to the work and to strengthening the Sector is evident in everything she does. We are grateful for her dedication and congratulate her on reaching this important milestone”

Thank you, Klaudia, for your five years of dedicated service with the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia.
