Aboriginal Youth Program Officer (50D)

Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 17 December 2021

We are currently recruiting for an Aboriginal Youth Program Officer (50D) to join the Health Programs Team on a full-time (1.0) fixed-term basis to 17 December 2021 (with the possibility of extension).

 

The Youth Program Officer reports to, and is directly accountable to, the Executive Manager Workforce and Sector Development, and will work collaboratively with the Youth Program Coordinator with planning, preparing and facilitating the implementation of strategies and activities to execute the Western Australian Aboriginal Youth Health Strategy (WAAYHS) 2018 – 2023.

Medical Receptionist

Location: CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs

Employment Type: Full time

Remuneration: $50,000 - $54,999 plus salary packaging and superannuation

DYHS is currently seeking suitably experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team and provide exceptional frontline customer service to our clients. Opportunities exist across our East Perth, Mirrabooka, Midland and Maddington practices. Part time, maximum term and casual pool positions are required.

Please note: Aboriginality is a genuine requirement for this position as per Section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.

 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive and register clients attending the Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service clinic and input and maintain client details on the computerised Communicare System;

  • Ensure patient information is current and accurate;

  • Liaise with medical, clinical and other staff about client attendance at clinic;

  • Electronically generate and print client attendance documents and identification labels;

  • Prepare medical files for the following day's clinic; and 

  • Liaise with Medicare or online for patient Medicare/concession cards.
