Membership Requirements

Full Membership
Membership of AHCWA is open to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services within Western Australia that have been deemed by the members of the Council to have met the criteria for memberships as defined within the Constitution of AHCWA.

Applications for membership are lodged with the Secretariat. The Secretariat reports to the Board about the applicant’s compliance with the criteria for membership; the application is presented to a General Meeting or Annual General Meeting for consideration and determination by the members.

Upon notification of membership the Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Service elects or appoints two representative delegates, and alternate delegates to attend meetings of the Council.

Member organisations have attendance, speaking and voting rights at Extraordinary General Meetings and Annual General Meetings of the Council.

Associate Membership
Associate membership of AHCWA is open to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Committees and those Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations providing health related services within the state of Western Australia that have been deemed by the members to have me t the criteria for associate membership as defined within the Constitution of AHCWA.
